2022 has been a whirlwind of spice for Chilli No. 5. We have been hugely active with our Chilli No. 5 community and have been visiting gourmet shows, spicy parties, foodie awards and chilli conferences in the UK, Europe and in the USA & Middle East.
Chilli No. 5 receives 6 Awards at the Great Taste Awards – Pizza Pizzazz – chilli oil, Devilishly Dijon, Heavenly Harissa, Jamaican Jerk, Chilli No. 5 Chilli Flakes, Chinese Hot & Sour chilli sauces.
Chilli No. 5 is stocked by strong Monaco & French Riviera retailers and restaurants who believe in the brand. Chilli No. 5 holds four mega parties at Komo, Jack, Paradiso the Grimaldi Forum, and in Founder Rumble Romagnoli’s home on the French Riviera welcoming the Chilli No. 5 community: Those at the Portuguese Piri Piri Party, Delirious Monte Carlo Circus Cabaret do, Frida Khalo party, & Tapas No. 5 Event have fond memories I do not doubt. We also saw our first chilli eating competition with our No. 5, Habanero, Scorpion, and finally Reaper chilli flakes – there was a couple of stand-out winners.

Chilli No. 5 reached 5K Instagram community and pushed towards 400 subscribers on YOUTUBE. Our website is now in 7 languages so we can connect to Chilli No. 5 lovers outside the UK and France where we started production and sales.
Chilli No. 5 launched on Deliveroo, and Uber Eats in London, as well as launching same-day delivery using transport partner STUART.
Chilli No. 5 team visited the Specialty Fine Food Fair in London to meet trade partners – the event organisers let us know we put on a “great” chilli event.
Chilli No. 5 welcomed health nutritionist Coriander Stone to judge the health benefits of all the Chilli No. 5 sauces, and hosts Coriander on YOUTUBE series Ask The Nutritionist.
Chilli No. 5 starts working with superstar chef Leo Besnard who won a Michelin star in Geneva to pair sauces with a “delicious 12-course” menu.

Chilli No. 5 agrees immediately to remove honey from sauces after feedback from the community and only use agave to keep the brand vegan and the bees happy.
Chilli No. 5 reached 205 reviews on Trustpilot with a score of EXCELLENT 4.6/5. We are listening to all reviews very seriously to help us make our sauces even more delicious and make customer service, delivery and shipping the best it can be.
Chilli No. 5 visits Dubai & Oman as well as Miami in the USA with a view to developing in these markets in 2023.
Chilli No. 5 features on the set of ITV Xmas show with Alison Hammond. She loved the Perfect Piri Piri.
Chilli No. 5 became an Amazon vendor and will use the Amazon distribution network to get chilli sauces to consumers much more quickly. We are developing our sauces to be sold throughout Europe with adapted labels.
Chilli No. 5 is using UPS as a shipping partner for UK, Europe and internationally to speed up delivery and tracking. We are buying into UPS’s carbon-neutral shipping option “supporting projects that offset the emissions of the shipment’s transport.” “UPS has supported projects that include reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction.” One of our major brand pillars is making sure we damage as little of the world as possible.
Chilli No. 5 is stocked in over 20 independent delis, butchers, and speciality chilli stores in the UK.
Fortnam & Mason has agreed to stock Chilli No. 5 from February 2023.
Chilli No. 5 in talks with Ireland distributor Natural Gourmet and chilli superstar Stinky and Scorchy for the Irish Market.
Chilli No. 5 sold and used at the Hamburger Foundation in Geneva, Switzerland – part of the M3 Group.
Chilli No. 5 holds first UK party and shoots with Influencers onboard the Disco Volante Narrowboat in London after a big night in Chinatown to celebrate Chinese Hot & Sour thanks to Vestal Vodka Founder Willy Borrell.
Launch of our Chilli No. 5 Mini Collection for Xmas, including all our chilli sauces, chilli flakes, and chilli oil. These perfect minis will hit the market through retailers, transports, hotels, and clubs as well as B2C on the website. Weighing in at 15ml, these travel-size chilli sauce minis have rocked the market.
Chilli No. 5 opened the Kitchen in London and introduced Chef Luiz Pimenta to the Chilli No. 5 team.
Chilli No. 5 continues with YOUTUBE chef show Superfood Mondays – videos where international chefs work with our sauces.

Chilli No. 5 launches Passport Picanté a 12-tube chilli sauces gift set nicknamed ‘The World of Spice.’
While for the most part Chilli No. 5 uses mainly cardboard and glass for all our chilli products, in 2023 we aim to remove any foams/plastics from any of our packagings so they can be completely reusable, recyclable and sustainable. We are also trying to find a recycle pouch producer – if we cannot, we will remove this line of products by the end of this year.

Open a kitchen in Miami in the USA to start production and Chilli No. 5 sales in the USA.
Create a line of mini chilli sauces gift sets and work with partner Spice Masters to create a line of international spices. We would love to create a line of children’s (not so hot) sauces so they can be included in the brand. One of our brand pillars is inclusivity.
